Harry Potter and the cursed child Review!

♥ Title: Harry Potter and the cursed child ♥ Author: J.K Rowling, John Tiffany & Jack Thorne ♥ Pages: 330 ♥ Published in 2016 ♥

I’m so excited to review this book! I read this book in one evening, and also couldn’t put it down.

Plot

As many of you all know, this book is not an ordinary book. It’s a script. The book is about the children of the HP characters. Albus being one of the main characters and Harry’s son, is worried about being sorted in a different house than Gryffindor. And Scorpius, being the other main character and the son of Draco. They both befriend each other, which is not really that positive for their parents. (If you know what I mean ;3) This book takes you through all the Hogwarts years of Albus and Scorpius. And you also get to know a lot more about time turners. But there is one thing that you don’t see coming. Voldemort’s son. I can't say too much about what is going to happen in the book, because I don't want to spoil everybody. Just read it!

My Opinion

When this book was released, I was really excited to read it at first. But I didn’t buy it the first day that I saw it. When I eventually got it, I read it in nearly one evening, and let me tell you. It was great! I loved how you got to know so much about the time turners and about Albus and Scorpius. At first I had no clue what I was about to read. Like I knew it was a theatre play, and that it was going to be a script and not an actual book. And I also didn’t read anything about it on the internet on purpose, just to be surprised. Let me tell you. It was a great thing. I absolutely loved how this book began, where the epilogue of the seventh book ended. It was genius. And eventually going further into the story and the rumour that Voldemort might be having a son. BAM! At first I thought that it was just going to be Harry Potter over again but then with the children. Like I thought Albus would just be the son of Voldemort, because Harry had a part of Voldemort inside of him, and since Harry had a child Voldemort basically did too? Although Voldemort was defeated in my head that was logical. And since Harry’s scar was hurting again it all made sense to me. But oh boy was I wrong. I loved how they didn’t make this book such a crappy spin-off from the real story. They used amazing different views on the story. And in the end, after I read the book, the only thing I could think of was the play. How are they going to do this in the play?! Because there is magic in the book, and people doing magic. When you look at that scene where Hermoine cleans her office using a spell. How are they going to do that?! Do they have magnets? Threads? Weird air blowing? I want to know! It’s such a shame that I don’t live in England at this moment. But overall I really enjoyed this book and it was a great read and a very quick read. I would definitely recommend it to anyone who has enjoyed the HP series and I hope to read more of J.K Rowling in the upcoming future.
